It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and is developing locally, nationally and internationally significant research across its institutes. It also offers degree apprenticeship routes for vocational learners in partnership with the NHS, local authority, BT and a range of other organisations across the region.
The university has opened cutting-edge new teaching and research spaces in recent years, including the Atrium Building featuring its Innovation Labs; the DigiTech Centre at Adastral Park in Martlesham in partnership with BT; The Hold in partnership with Suffolk County Council as the home of Suffolk’s archives; and the new Health and Wellbeing Building. Going forward, the university has ambitious plans to showcase more of its research activities, and significantly grow student numbers. The university is also in the process of developing a new dental treatment centre which will operate as a not-for-profit social enterprise to train future dental health professionals for the county.
